Yes. setup -f EXT. Otherwise:
# cat EXT.tgz | bzip2 -ds | (cd / ; tar -xvf-)

No hard-drive at all? This is an Amiga1000 :-) A model target, for muLinux.
Amiga1000 was equipped with ramdisks, since 1985 (try to use a ramdisk on
a Microsoft OS)!
