Eh no. You can see the ramdisk_size with this command
cat /proc/cmdline
In my opinion, you are right: in kernel 2.2.* we can do next to anything
using /proc files, but ramdisk size is fixed at boot and I cannot
understand why.
You can see, when Linux boot it tell you: "allocated 16 ramdisk of 4016K".
This shows a sort of static allocation, definitevily some piece
of bad programming.

Ah, this is another question. Please, rebuild your own muLinux enlarging
the value ramdisk_size in the "mu" script. Locate the string with
a good editor. Put this value: ramdisk_size=8000, no problem.
Linux accept ramdisk of mega & mega (giga?)
