2 questions from a mulinux newbie (but not a Linux newbie)

1) where is passwd? How do I change the root password?

2) Has anybody gotten diald installed and working under mulinux?
I'm setting up a demand-dial router/firewall, and the ppp-on/ppp-off
stuff is not enough.
